You know, I also think I'm totally crazy. We have had a full house of patients, and the Hospital is begging for help. So, I'm working a few midnights this weekend also. It is totally worth it though, my regular pay plus $3.00 bonus pay, plus shift diff. As well as if it puts me over 40 hours It will go into time and a half!I think I'm just plain crazy. Plus the fact that I'll still be getting my call pay for the weekend, at $2.00/hour.
Here is the Easter scoop. I'm on call the weekend of the 15th as well as Easter weekend. This month, I have 3 weekends, because of people going on vacations. So, the weekends I'm on, I can't trade out because there is no one to trade with me. We haven't done April's call schedule yet and when we have, I'll set a weekend to come up there, providing we have no dog training, or 4-H.

Boy, does that sound familiar! That's exactly how I ended up doing the Christmas marathon week by myself! Not only was John working his normal scheduled days, he was also covering for vacations that the guys higher up on the totem pole pick right away. I patiently await that dream job with nights, weekends, and holidays off. It's something to hope for! I try not to be selfish though, the benefits are great and my boy is the one working hard, it's not for me to complain! Anywho, I'm just saying that I sympathize and we will be so glad to see you whenever you can make it! It might even be better to visit when there isn't much else going on. It would be great if could stop by our house, even just for a bit. Just let me know when. (Gotta make sure the house is clean, hee hee hee.) John just got a PS3 with Rock Band, it's his awesome new toy he is all about. Maybe your girls would like to play. I'll try to get Brian & Tiffany over, too. I'm so excited...
No one wants to see us right now anyways. Ashley is home from school with a horrid cough. Sarah is also home with a fever and a headache. So, we have a sick house right now.
ya well im on 24 hr shifts and Tiff is working 58 hrs this week. since everyone else was sharing! cool cool. work, it has become us! it could be worse. growing up if we saw dad that meant one of two things. it was a holiday or we were going on vacation! lol. ya Jess's house is always open! after i finish college we will probably hit the bricks and move away too. so ya got 2 years before it gets really hard to see each other. Love ya long lost cuz
