Happenings.....

The last few months have been very hard in the Moore Household. BUT.... on the up side, David went back to work for the union. I have been working 2 jobs, and have been busier than all get out. The kids started dog training. The twins are doing very well, and Ashley is starting out with Jake, mom's Mastiff. We are training in a unheated pole barn. The holiday's were decent, I didn't get enough time off as I would have liked, but with starting my new job, you really can't take off as much as you would like. I believe that this year will be so much better than the last year. I have changed my outlook, and hopefully things will be better. So, I am trying to post more on here for those of you who follow my blog.

Have a great night all!

Let Deer Season Begin

Well, Bow season is in full swing. David is out hunting every morning and afternoon. Shot gun season starts soon and Courtney is all ready to go out. As of right now, she doesn't have the proper gear to go out, but the stuff is very expensive! So, she is going to have to make due with David's gear for now. Sarah is still undecided if she is going to hunt with her gun or wait till she can pull the bow back enough. This week, David is going to take the kids to the shooting range to sight in their gun. This is the picture of the deer David got last week. Sarah is holding up the head for me to catch it on the camera. Hopefully, there will me more to come!

It's been a long, long time....

Well, I figured I'd blog a bit today. It's been a long time. Things have been going well for us. The twins have started playing 6th grade basket ball. They are not too bad players. Ashley is doing well in school. All the kids got good grades on their report cards. I just finished 2 classes, and got B's in them both. I start my next term on Wednesday. I have 12 classes till I graduate, again.

Halloween was good, the kids got a ton of candy. The kids looked good in their costumes. We saw some of their friends when we went Trick or Treating.

My job is going great. I love working at a place where I'm appreciated for what I know. It's amazing what I have missed out on during the 10 years I spent at my last job.

A friend of mine and I have started to work out each day. Some days we walk together, and others we don't. So far, I have lost 16 pounds. Not bad for watching calories and a little working out now and then.

Well, now I'm off to get the kiddies ready for bed. We got school and work tomorrow, and the twins have practice as well.

Picture Updates

The girls with "Papa G."

Andrew and me at his 1st Birthday.

Terri and Vicki Funk with the kids.

Here's some pictures taken over the summer....

Middel School

Courtney and Sarah started Middle School this year. They get to use lockers as well as change classes 7 times. Courtney started playing the flute. She has learned 3 notes. She loves it so far. Sarah is playing the french horn. She loves it also. Ashley is at the Elementary school, and is in 3rd grade. She got one of Sarah's old teachers.

I recently started a new job. It is at a Surgery Center located in Laporte. I absolutely love it. It is a great place. The people are so nice, and so are the doctors. I have been there for 2 weeks now. I actually enjoy going to work now. My friend Jamie works there also and we ride together. The drive is very nice, not a bunch of traffic.

David is still doing his Construction business. Going so so. Things are slow everywhere.

Tomorrow the twins are having friends over for a sleep over. I will be back with updates...

Let it Snow!

Well, today is the first day of Christmas Break, for the kids. They slept in till 7:30! We are spending the day in our P.J.'s playing the Wii, cleaning, and just messing around. I thought about running some errands, but it is just too cold! The snow is really falling now. I like it and I hate it! Courtney is cleaning her room and Sarah is playing the Wii. Ashley is going back and forth.....

Well off to clean the bathroom!

Getting updated.....

Well I guess it has been a very long time.....

Last week, Ashley was feeling a bit under the weather. So, because it was Friday I decided to take her to the doctor. She ended up with Pneumonia and had to be admitted. WE admitted her to Starke Memorial Hospital. Ashley was very dehydrated and they had to stick her 7 times to get an IV started on her. She had Oxygen on and was getting breathing treatments every 2-4 hours. The next morning, Our Doctor came in and decided that Ashley needed to be in the Peds ICU and he wanted to transfer her to Memorial Hospital in South Bend.

So, we waited for the Memorial Team to come and get us. Ashley was still not Oxygenating right and the Respiratory people were waiting with us. Finally the Ambulance got there to take Ashley. It was a long and bumpy road. David was driving behind in the van.

We get to the hospital and get settled in. David and I decided to go out to the van to get our things. We get lost 3 times on our way out! Yeah, there are certain elevators that do not go to certain places. Totally weird!

Now, Ashley was started back on Oxygen, and 2 Antibiotics, as well as Vest Physiotherapy. And then Monday she turned a corner. Ashley was interested in talking to us, and wanted to get washed up. Tuesday they let us go home.

Now, Ashley is still on Antibiotics but is almost fully recovered. Things are good. We were very nervous for a while, and Sleeping on a chair for 5 days is not fun, but she is all well!

Courtney and Sarah Turn 11

On the 28th, Courtney and Sarah turned 11 years old. It seems like yesterday they were only 4 and 6 pounds. This year, I asked them what they wanted, and every time they said a Ipod with a screen. So, I let them know that if I got it for them, that was going to be their only gift. They were fine with it. Saturday, I took them to Steak 'N' Shake for lunch, and then we went to Walmart and got them their Ipods. I sent cupcakes to school with them on Friday, the on Monday, David sent flowers to them at school. Monday night we had a cake just the 5 of us at home. The girls decided that they wanted a friend party this year so Next Sunday is the party at the High School pool. It should be a good time.

Our 8th Wedding Anniversary

Well, the 24th was our anniversary. I was working of course. The last 2 weeks have been so hard at work. We have been so busy. I forgot to take my phone out of my pocket while I was criculating a case and David called me. I had to blow him off fast so that the Doctor wouldn't get upset. At the end of the day, the girls at work told me to go to the discharge unit. David left flowers and a balloon for me! It was the sweetest thing in the world! I wasn't even expecting anything! We decided to buy a camcorder as our present this year. I just can't believe that we have been married for 8 years! Where on earth does the time go!?!? It seems like yesterday I was being set up with him by a girl I used to work with.

Been a long time.....

Well, I'm so sorry for not blogging in so long. Things have been a bit crazy here. I have been working some different days than I normally do. The kids keep me busy between homework and everything else they get into. David is still off work. 10 months now. Dog training is over for a few months. I am now up to 11 soldiers that I write and send packages to. We had our family cook off on Labor day.

I have been pressured to get the site done. I still have some things I need to finish on it, but for the most part it is up and running. My school work has kept me super busy. I had 3 papers due this week alone. Last weekend, we had our town wide yard sale. Alex and her sister came out for it. WE got some great things there.

Sarah is writing a "book". she is on Chapter 5, I think. Courtney and Sarah got a bow for their birthday. They are wanting to go deer hunting with David this year. I'm thinking that they won't make it because they have to have a draw weight of 35 pounds and they are only at like 22 pounds. But they have been shooting almost every night. They have great aim.

Well, I guess that is it for now. I'm not sure what else to write. nothing has been new, but if I think of something I will add it.

Night all!!
