Golf Lesson

For Christmas, Dad bought Courtney and Sarah golf clubs. Today they started their first lesson. Dad came over with his clubs, tees, and golf balls. He went on about what not to do, and then started showing the girls what TO do. And then he hit the ball over into the field across the street, and we lost a ball.

Here's a picture of Dad showing the girls how to stand and hold their hands on the club. Sarah was getting mad because she wants to do everything perfect the first time. She was upset that she was missing the ball, and when she did hit it, it was not getting lost across the street like Dad's was.

Here's a picture of Dad helping Courtney with her form. She was doing great hitting the ball except she liked to step into the swing like she was hitting a baseball. I think we are going to have to nail her feet to the ground. Courtney did do good most of the time, hitting a bit across the street. We were able to find all the balls Courtney hit over there.

Now, here is Dad helping Sarah swing the club. She was getting so mad at Courtney because Courtney was hitting better than she was. Sarah gets mad at sports easy. She wants to be the best the first time she does anything, and if she is not..... she gets mad and wants to quit. Sarah was doing well after a bit of coaching from Dad. She got very mad a few times and had to sit out to cool off once.
