The Ice Storm Last Night

We had the most Ice on everything that I have ever seen. I had to take some pictures of it for everyone to see. Schools were closed and we lost power for 11 hours today. The kids went outside and played in the ice for a bit. The dogs didn't know what to think. Molly was Molly, but Sam didn't want to have anything to do with the ice. He did his thing and came right back inside. So, while the kids were outside playing, I got some pictures.

This is our bench on the front porch.

This is the tree in the back yard. You can't see the ice very good on this one.

This was our pine tree in the front yard. Very cool! Every needle has ice on all sides of it. It felt smooth as glass and so pretty!

A different view of the pine tree.

This is my van and the ice on it. It was packed by the wipers. There was about a inch of ice on it this morning. When David went to town he let his truck run for 20 minutes and still had to scrape ice off of it.

Wow!! Cool pictures! We have the same here, and still have ice....Lost power twice, about 4-5 hours the first time and then 2 hours again last night......Jay finally invested in a generator....Grandma & Grandpa lost power too....BTW, they are still trying to get a hold of you.....Grandpa called and left me a message today....Please call them! :-)

Oh, and if you have a chance to get this stuff, its the greatest! TurtleWax Liquid Fire De-Icer.....I use it when I come out of work and I have lots of ice on the windows....It's faster than running the car forever....You'll love it out there! :-)

Hugs!! Mom
