Courtney is in Spell Bowl and they just had their 1 and only match the other day. Courtney didn't get to spell because there were like 18 kids on the team and only 8 rounds of spelling with 7 words in a round. The schools there were: Boone Grove, Kankakee Valley I and II, Knox, Oregon-Davis, South Central I and II, Hebron, Saint Peter Lutheran, Porter Lakes, us.
Some of the words that these 4th and 5th graders had to spell were: Chihuahua, fossiliferous, cumulonimbus, debonair, and phosphorescence.

Out of our category we got 2nd place.

Congrats to our "Spell bowler"... I am sooo proud of people that desire to spell better.
It has been one of my things since grade school. (LONG time ago) To spell, and pronounce words correctly. And to this day I look up words that are new to me that I don't know or am not sure what it means. I have this little devotional book and the guy lived in the early part of the century when words were the life of conversation and instruction. Boy have I learned some new words! AND some words we have taken and corrupted to mean only one thing or intimate something ugly.
I also have a special thing about peoples names. NAMES ARE IMPORTANT. Get'em right. hahaha
