Today, David, his mom, mom and dad and I took the kids to the JP Game Preserve. This is a picture of the look out tower we went to.
We saw a total of 51 deer.
Here is a picture of all the sand hill cranes we saw. They were talking up a storm, as well as flying all around us.
Within a hours of each other... Dad and David had the same idea to take a ride out there to look at the cranes. The last time we went there, we only saw about 16 deer, so the kids and I went thinking we would see some more deer. The deer were a bigger hit than the cranes we really went out to see. The game preserve was packed. We haven't seen that many people there in a long time. Usually it is just us out there. David and Dad were having fun looking for the BIG bucks. other people were telling us that some deer just came out of the woods, and that is where I got the decent shots of the deer. Normally, they are way too far for my camera. There was a guy out there that had this huge telescope and I thought it was a telescope, but it was for his camera. It was about a foot long! I bet he got some great shots! Another guy was getting pictures through the telescopes that were at the tower. Mine didn't come out that way. All I got was a big black screen with a small circle of light. HA!!

MAN!!! Sure would have loved to have seen all that too. We don't get the deer around here as much as we used to. WELL, At least I don't see them. And you know the "Bird Lady" loves birds of all kinds..
Since we have the lake across the street now, the Geese are overhead more often. And lots of the little birds stay at my feeders for the winter.
Well I'm off to supervise Gramps cooking the turkey etc.. ((HUGS)) to all..
