The kids were all in bed sleepin and David and I were watching t.v. We had no clue that there was a storm coming. Then I get my text message on my cell phone from the t.v. station. I get text messages about the weather, Amber alerts and storm warnings from channel 16 news in South Bend. I got that text, and then it seemed as if everything hit all at once. David had to turn the channel to the news and then the Tornado siren went off in town. So, now it is around 10pm and we get all the kids and go to the basement. Here we are listening to the rain and thunder, the kids and Molly are on me and all I wanted to do was go upstairs and see what things looked like. I love storms and thunder. Sam was wondering up and down stairs looking at the 4 of us. He seemed to be thinking why are you guys on the floor? David was wondering around watching things and our neighbors power went out. Weird thing about the power out here. Mom and Dad and our neighbors seem to be on 1 box and our side of the road and their neighbors are on another. So all our power did was flicker VERY slowly, like it was on a dimmer. After about a hour we got to come upstairs, and then we had the kids in our room on the floor. Little legs and arms were everywhere and it was hard to walk through the room! LOL!!! Sam was in a huf because a kid was in his spot on our floor, so he had to squeeze in there also. The next day, things weren't bad, some limbs down, but nothing like my Grandparents in Griffith had.

I saw some photos of Hammond on Schweikert's myspace... looked pretty bad, like a tornado had hit.
Crazy climate times ahead, only stranger...
I would imagine N. Judson is vulnerable to high winds and such. I was there on a road trip a long time ago.
