4-H Fun Match Results

Today we went to the 4-H Fair Grounds and did a practice match. The weather was very nice and there were tons of other dogs there. People were trimming the whiskers on the dogs faces, and styling their hair. I swear, it looked just like back stage at the AKC Dog shows. I must say, for us and the other 1st year kids, we were very under-prepared. I didn't think we would need the kennels. we did. I did bring enough water for every dog there. I didn't want to run out. We didn't have time to get show clothes, so we just wore out club clothes. I'll try to explain everything that went on in the pictures. Thank god David didn't take out the 4 chairs in the back of the van!!! We got there at 7:45 to register, and we didn't get done until almost 5pm! It was a VERY long day for the kids AND more so for Sam and Molly. They are NOT used to being on a leash let alone being tied up for 9 hours.

We just got there and I got pictures of the kids. This is Courtney before we got set up.

This is Sarah with Molly.

Here Courtney is in the ring with Sam. Working Obedience.

Sarah is giving Molly a pep talk before her turn.

Sarah getting Molly to stand/stay so the judge could touch her.

Here is Courtney in the Showmanship class. She has to sit so he will stay standing. He did not like the judge touching his feet, and he HATED for Courtney to show her his teeth.

The girls are waiting for the "Rally" event. this is where there are signs all over the sidewalk and the kids have to follow the numbered signs and do whatever is on them.

This is what the Agility course looked like.
